Should I shave before the laser hair removal treatment?
Please shave within 24 hours prior to your treatment. For coarse hair, try to shave as close to your treatment time as possible. This will make your treatment even more comfortable. You may shave again 24 hours after treatment though it should not be necessary.
Is it safe?
Hair removal is the most common use of aesthetic medical lasers. Pain-Free, Hair-Free™’s Soprano laser has provided permanent hair reduction for thousands of patients worldwide, safely and successfully.
How many treatments will I need?
Typically, it will require 4 – 6 treatments or more to permanently reduce the number of regrowing hairs by more than 80%, six months after the last treatment. There are a number of factors that can affect the success of a series of hair removal treatments, but generally, after each treatment, you’ll see a noticeable, permanent reduction in the number of hairs that regrow in the treatment area.
Will my hair ever grow back?
The short answer is no. Once the hair follicle is damaged, it cannot grow new hair. However, lasers only affect hair that is actively growing and not hair in the dormant stage. When these dormant hairs go into their active growth state they will be targeted with subsequent treatments.
Do I need to plan for time off for the treatments?
No. Pain-Free, Hair-Free™ requires no downtime or recovery time. You can have a treatment and return to work or school immediately.
How do I know it won’t hurt?
Most people find Pain-Free, Hair-Free™ very comfortable. While pain tolerance is subjective, many patients often describe the sensation as soothing as a hot stone massage. If you find it otherwise, notify the nurse and she can lower the settings on the laser.
How much does Pain-Free, Hair-Free™ cost?
Compared with a lifetime of shaving, waxing or plucking, Pain-Free, Hair-Free™ can be a worthwhile investment in both time and money.
Is there a shaving fee?
At your initial treatment, our skin care experts will provide you with a complimentary shave (back, back of neck, upper arms and shoulders only please). We prefer our patients to remain unshaven at this time to study your hair growth and to take “before” photos so that we can visually track your journey to dramatic hair reduction.
Following your first treatment, if you require shaving from one of our skin care experts, please let us know at time of scheduling, and we will gladly provide you with that service at a $25 charge. It is important that you have a clean shave as close to the skin as possible prior to your treatment; this better ensures a more comfortable experience for you.
Areas outside of the back, back of neck, upper arms and shoulders will need to be shaved by our male patients. We provide a private bathroom with razors and shaving cream, but you may also want to bring your own from home.
What is pricing for laser hair removal?
Our prices begin at $99 per treatment, but we also offer a package of 5 treatments that includes a 20% discount when paid in full before or on the day of your first appointment.
